Exploring Photography :  in-depth creativity & technical skills

This is a 14-week course, covering 56 lesson hours to offer an in-depth exploration of photography as a personal language and skill set. With the integration of creative practice and practical skill, students are trained to be technically competent while learning to explore the world with their own eyes and mind.

 

This experimental and self exploration class will also expose students to different genres of photography including Commercial Photography, Fashion, Editorial and Wedding, Visual Arts Photography and Photojournalism.

Taught by industry experienced tutors and photography guest lecturers, students have the opportunity to connect with photography industry leaders while discovering their own creative preferences. An important step to acknowledge before advancing to the next level of photography.

 

Certificate of completion will be presented by the end of each course.

Course Outline

•  Finding your voice, style and developing visual language for self expression

• Basic understanding in conceptual, practical and aesthetic applications of photography

• Basic understanding of studio lighting

• Exposure to different genres of photography

• Understanding of digital editing and processing techniques

• This course will be conducted mainly in English

 
Course Requirements
 

• This course is only for students 16 years old and above

• Prerequisite : Introduction to Photography

• Applicants who did not attend the prerequisite course, will have to submit a photography portfolio consisting of 20 images  

• A digital SLR or mirrorless camera with manual override and interchangeable lenses

• Digital camera that is able to capture RAW format

• Digital camera that has a flash sync or hot shoe to sync with professional strobe system

• Laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop
