Introduction to Photography : the essential foundation
A 12- week course to introduce photography as a visual skill and language, the technical function of the digital camera, and the software basics of image editing. Students will learn how to build a strong technical-theoretical foundation in photography.
Lessons include critical analysis of photography, as well as, various aspects of photography and arts such as photography elements and photography history. Students will be instructed through hands-on learning and practical assignments within this 48 lesson hours in the foundation level.
Certificate of completion will be presented by the end of each course.

Understanding photography as a visual language and learning its elements

For those who are interested in B&W photography and appreciation of photography as a visual language

Photography concept and history along with art principles are emphasized in this hands-on class.

Course Requirements

This course is only for students 16 years old and above

A digital SLR or mirrorless camera with manual override and interchangeable lenses

Digital camera that is able to capture RAW format

Laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop
